Back to Basics: Reentry Program
Returning to the community is a major transition, and no one should have to navigate it alone.

The Back to Basics Reentry Program is a pre-release and post-release program that provides returning citizens, veterans, and individuals in need of additional support with the practical skills, resources, and guidance needed to move forward with confidence. Our program focuses on strengthening daily living skills, developing healthy coping techniques, improving personal and professional interactions, and creating a realistic plan for long-term stability.

Participants receive support in the following areas:
-
Community Integration: Creating a personalized blueprint for successfully transitioning back into society
-
Employment: Identifying career interests and learning how to research opportunities, apply for positions, prepare for interviews, and enter the workforce
-
Relationships: Developing healthy communication and interaction skills for relationships with family, friends, coworkers, and professionals
-
Budgeting: Understanding important financial terms and creating a realistic, personalized budget
-
Mental Health: Identifying areas where additional support may be needed and helping participants build a wraparound support system
-
Housing, Food, and Transportation: Assessing immediate needs and connecting participants with helpful community resources
-
Technology: Building confidence using personal and professional technology
-
Education: Identifying educational interests and developing a clear plan of action
Back to Basics is about more than returning home. It is about rebuilding confidence, developing essential skills, accessing the right resources, and creating a strong foundation for the future.
